You can expect a comfortable place to look for and try on clothing. Volunteer consultants are available to help you select the clothing you need if you want their assistance. Otherwise, our volunteer consultants will let you browse the clothes on your own. We respect your privacy and independence. We do ask you to help us improve our service by completing an evaluation of our service.
Clothing donations are accepted by our volunteer consultant when the Closet is open. Please do not leave bags outside the building or in the hallway. Linda’s Closet is located in an office building and we must be respectful of the other businesses that are open on a daily basis.
Linda’s Closet provides clothing for women entering the work place, returning to the work force, or living on a restricted budget. Therefore, we accept a variety of clothing from casual blue jeans, khakis, sweaters, and t-shirts to dressy skirts, blouses, suits, and dresses. We also accept coats, shoes, toiletries and accessories such as jewelry, scarves, and handbags. We ask that all clothing donations be up-to-date styles as well as clean without stains, rips or tears, or missing buttons. Please note that we do not have a lot of storage space, therefore, we ask that you only donate clothing that is in season.
All of our clothing is donated and therefore we are subject to the sizes that we receive. Currently, our clothing stock is low in larger sizes (16-3x).
We are grateful for monetary donations. Donations can be sent to: Linda’s Closet, 29 Center Street, Keene, NH 03431.
